Статья посвящена биобиблиографическим справочникам «Смоляне – защитники Брестской крепости» и «Смоляне – участники боёв под г. Брестом в июне 1941 года». Оба издания реализованы в рамках проекта «Белорусские смоляне, смоленские белорусы», инициированного библиотекой Смоленского государственного университета. Представлены сведения об авторских коллективах указанных изданий, дана краткая характеристика их содержания. Указаны источники, которые использовались при подготовке изданий. Материалы о бойцах Брестского гарнизона, уроженцах Смоленской губернии и призванных из Смоленской области, собраны на основе фондов Мемориального комплекса «Брестская крепость-герой», музея «Смоленщина в годы Великой Отечественной войны 1941–1945 гг.», Велижского районного историко-краеведческого музея Смоленской области, печатных изданий России и Беларуси, интернет-ресурсов, личных архивов родственников воинов. Отмечается, что поисково-аналитическая работа по данному исследовательскому направлению продолжается.

The article is devoted to the biobibliographic reference books “Smolyans – defenders of the Brest fortress” and “Smolyans - participants of the battles near Brest in June 1941”. Both publications were implemented within the framework of the project "Belarusian Smolyans, Smolensk Belarusians" initiated by the library of Smolensk State University. Information about the authors’ teams of the mentioned editions is presented, and their content is briefly characterized. The sources used in the preparation of the editions are listed. Materials about the soldiers of the Brest garrison, natives of Smolensk Governorate and conscripted from Smolensk region were collected on the basis of the funds of the Memorial complex “Brest Fortress-Hero”, the museum “Smolensk region during the Great Patriotic War of 1941– 1945”, the Velizhsky district Museum of History and Local Lore of Smolensk region, printed publications of Russia and Belarus, Internet resources, personal archives of soldiers’ relatives. It is noted that the search and analytical work on this research area is ongoing.
